Specific Responsibilities
The Completions & Workover Engineering Sr. Manager for Apache Corporation will be on assingment to the company's joint venture in Egypt within the drilling operations team. This position will be based out of the Cairo, Egypt office reporting to the Drilling Engineer Director.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Workover Planning: Plan and execute workover operations to maintain or enhance well production. Prepare operational time and cost estimates.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise and manage completion and workover operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Monitor daily progress of job(s) or project(s) and monitor operations expenditure.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including drilling, production, and reservoir engineering, to optimize well performance.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues during completion and workover operations. Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigation.
- Cost Management: Manage budgets and optimize costs associated with completion and workover operations.
- Innovation: Always look for new technologies, tools & initiatives from other areas that can be implemented on our operations. Evaluate the application and implementation of best practices and technological advancements to Integrated Solutions operations.
- Drive performance: Monitor technical and operations KPIs and benchmark against offset well data and pre-defined well objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with MS in Petroleum/Oil & Gas or Well Engineering.
- 20+ years of relevant work experience in well completions, intervention and/or optimization
- US land experience in completion & Workover
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of well completion and workover operations, including design, execution, and optimization.
- Leadership: Experience in managing teams and supervising operations
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure smooth operations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize well performance.
- Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as IWCF or Well Control, may be required.
