Specific Responsibilities
The Water Resources Supervisor, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Production Operations team at the company’s Midland, office reporting to the Production Operations Director.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Accountable for design, execution and operation of all integrated water sourcing, processing and disposal facilities
- Ensuring the safety of all Apache water contractors & vendors including the development and implementation of SOPs
- Supervise Apache staff and all contractors
- Development and execution of long term strategy and associated commercial model to deliver new profit center for Region
- Ensures adequate supply to meet all development objectives both technically and commercially
- Overseeing construction projects ongoing in the field related to drilling water wells, frac pit construction, facility construction or laying out lines
- Maintaining relationships with landowners in order to get ROW access from water sources to pits & completion locations
- Accountable for all expenditures and conformance to AFEs
- Submitting monthly reports of water used by water well & facility for land & accounting departments
- Develop and execute best operating practices and drive continuous improvement culture
- Primary contact for all Apache water contractors & vendors
- Implementation of enhanced water treating technologies and recycle systems as deemed appropriate
- Act as a key liaison in joint-venture or partner discussions related to water resource management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental and water management regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- BS in Engineering preferred
- +10 years of relevant E&P Company experience
- Highly skilled in production operations with experience in all types of facilities related to the full life cycle of drilling equipment, oil wells, pipelines, storage and processing facilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills - able to work well with production/completion/drilling departments, field personnel, geoscience team, management and stakeholders
- Proven track record of financial performance and responsibility with experience in budget and schedule planning, AFE preparation and economic evaluation
