Construction Services Supervisor

The Construction Services Supervisor will report to the Facilities Engineering Manager, coordinating the execution of  New Facility Builds/Upgrades, Pipeline/Flow Line Installations, Well Hookups, Power Line Installations, Repair & Maintenance (R&M) activity, and Emissions Compliance enhancements as needed to support company initiatives.

Work activity includes managing Construction Foreman, Contract Site Supervisors and Construction Contractors to safely complete Central Tank Battery (CTB), Central Gathering Compression (CGC), Satellite Facilities, Flowlines, and Gathering Systems on schedule and within budget. Monitoring daily activity to ensure all work is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, engineering specifications, sound construction practices, good environmental stewardship, a strong focus on safety, and operational excellence.

Provide daily and weekly communications as required to provide progress updates, obtain change approvals, identify critical path issues, minimize risk, and manage activity.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 


•    Oversee all facets of facility construction planning, supervision & execution.
•    Assist engineers with the development of construction estimates, participate in design reviews, and provide input on schedules / execution plans based on construction and operational experience.
•    Coordinate field activities with operations, inspection staff, safety, land, completions, and other affected groups to ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
•    Manage contractors by assisting with identification of qualified companies, conducting bid walks, and monitoring progress, safety, and the quality work performed.
•    Perform regular Control of Work inspections to ensure construction is being performed safely and in accordance with all required standards. 
•    Work with engineers, supply chain and warehouse personnel on logistics for receiving, offloading and storage of equipment and materials.
•    Supervise inspection personnel to ensure they remain current with site supervisor, safety, construction, and operational training.  
•    Review and approve weekly inspection personnel time sheets to ensure charges are allocated to the correct AFEs.
•    Review invoices and daily tickets to ensure Apache is receiving full value for services rendered.
•    Ensure approved work orders or change orders are in place prior to performing any work.
•    Be familiar with applicable industry construction standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, OSHA, etc.
•    Lead incident investigations to identify the root cause and follow-up with training and communications to inspectors / contractors that will reduce the potential for future incidents.
•    Assist operations personnel with troubleshooting and proper operation of facilities.
•    Participate in industry functions and portray a positive image for Apache.
•    Safeguard all company assets.
•    Be familiar with Apache Facility Construction Standards and apply to all construction projects.
•    Review all repair procedures and methods to ensure that safety hazards and environmental impact(s) are minimized.
•    Understand Apache’s MOC process and when to apply it to construction work.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

•    High School diploma or equivalent required
•    20+ years of related construction supervision or related experience required. 
•    Must possess knowledge of surface equipment to diagnose problems and be able to provide recommendations for equipment type and design considerations.
•    Must be proficient in computer skills including MS TEAMS, Excel, Word, Outlook. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication and grammar skills.
