Specific Responsibilities

The Treasury Analyst Sr for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Treasury team at the company’s Houston office reporting to the Supervisor, Treasury Banking and Cash Management. This position involves corporate cash management functions and various finance related projects. The optimal candidate will have a degree in finance or accounting, 2 to 5+ years of finance, accounting, or corporate cash management experience, good interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment, and a willingness to grow with the position. 

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Work with the Cash Management Supervisor and Treasury Analyst on the following cash management activities:
  • Lead the daily/monthly cash forecasting process
  • Track utilization of Apache’s revolving credit facilities
  • Manage loans and other cash movement between Apache’s entities
  • Borrow and invest funds
  • Back up the daily cash position process, which includes the following:
    • Monitor and set company’s daily cash position
    • Initiate wire transfers
    • Purchase and sell foreign currency
    • Confirm payment instructions
    • Review Bank reports
  • Prepare recurring Treasury Reports which provide senior management with a summary of the company’s cash position, revolving credit facility usage, investments, and liquidity;
  • Perform special projects which involve interaction with the Tax, Planning and Accounting departments;
  • Manage domestic and international bank accounts;
  • Provide journal entries to accounting; and
  • Other ad hoc projects as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook;
  • Financial analysis skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles;
  • Basic understanding of debt and equity capital markets;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Team player; and
  • Oil & Gas industry experience a plus.
