Position Description & Duties:

The Sustainability Data Analyst I - III, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s EH&S team at the company’s Houston, TX office reporting to the Manager, Sustainability. 
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

•    Coordinate internal ESG data collection processes and procedures 
•    Collect, analyze, and maintain completeness and accuracy of corporate-wide GHG sustainability data 
•    Develop, maintain and improve emissions forecasting models
•    Analyze recycling and water trends 
•    Collect and analyze GHG information using production accounting tools and equipment inventory data
•    Work with multiple organizational functions to continuously improve environmental data quality and refine accounting methodologies 
•    Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Data Engineer, and Data Science teams to collect accurate data. 
•    Develop new methodologies, processes, and standards to drive more robust impact measurement
•    Support annual Sustainability Report activities by working with reporting team and stakeholders to generate graphics and content.
•    Performance manage  guidance and reporting standards for upstream oil and gas industry reporting programs and rating agencies, such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Taskforce for Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), World Resources Institute and World Business Council for Sustainable Development guidelines on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Protocol as it relates to measuring emissions.
•    Monitor internal sustainability reporting metrics from MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics, etc.
•    Support other sustainability programs as needed

Preferred & Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

•    Bachelor's Degree required in either Computer Science/Data Analysis/Science or Engineering 
•    3-5 years of quantitative experience in GHG accounting, corporate sustainability, energy management or related data support field
•    Basic understanding of Oil and Gas field operations (Drilling, Completions, Production) 
•    Proficient knowledge of SQL query language, MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
•    Experience with Intelex ACTS, SANGEA or other GHG accounting software. 
•    Spotfire visual analytics reporting is a plus 
•    Effective interpersonal and team communication skills
•    The ability to be self-directed and self-motivated and the ability to be team player
•    Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
