Specific Responsibilities

 

The Sr SCADA Technician reporting to the Facilities E/I & Control Manager, will provide technical expertise and ensure standardization of our real time CygNet and FMS systems. This position interacts with our Remote Operations Center (ROC) and other departments to ensure they can safely monitor\control our field locations in a timely manner.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

•    Support weekly, quarterly & annual KPI Tracking / Reporting
•    Coordinate between asset teams, field automation, facility engineers, production engineers, accounting & function leadership to ensure SCADA designs support operational needs\issues and accounting workflow.
•    Develop & maintain measurement & automation standards, best practices, and procedures, including normalization of end devices.
•    Monitor installation, configuration & mapping of end devices to ensure consistent and high-quality design, data, and safety.
•    Review and incorporate new technological advances as required to support operations.
•    Actively lead projects where necessary & directly oversee the work of contractors when external resources are needed for automation support/project work.
•    Provide support for more advanced solutions (for example, scripted solutions).
•    Design and implement Standard and Custom HMI screens.
•    Provide SCADA training & guidance and mentor junior team members.
•    Configure, maintain, and optimize SCADA host software.
•    Work closely with Operations, Measurement and Engineering to ensure the SCADA System is being developed to established standards.
•    System interfaces, business data processes, and reporting.
•    Document changes, obtain required approvals, and submit changes.
•    Participate in technical reviews.
•    Participate in monthly safety meetings and remain current with A-Game training.

Qualifications & Experience

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

•     5 or more years of CygNet SCADA Administration experience
•    Support weekly, quarterly & annual KPI Tracking / Reporting
•    Coordinate between asset teams, field automation, facility engineers, production engineers, accounting & function leadership to ensure SCADA designs support operational needs\issues and accounting workflow.
