Position Description & Duties

The Supply Chain Source-to-Pay Lead for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Global Supply Chain at the company’s Houston office reporting to the Systems & Master Data Governance Manager.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Facilitate supplier onboarding to Ariba, including integration projects;
  • Develop standards, processes, and procedures to support the S2P process;
  • Provide S2P reports and spend data/reporting to GSC Category Management/Strategic Sourcing and leadership to facilitate metrics reporting, audit follow up and decision support;
  • Identify, document, and implement leading practices and strategies to proactively support the business needs in an ever-changing market and obtain internal stakeholder buy-in across all levels of the organization;
  • Provide enhanced processes and tools to streamline and standardize day to day S2P systems and process support including Ariba price file management and upload as required;
  • Lead cross-functional teams on project-based initiatives to develop and implement GSC systems and processes;
  • Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the S2P systems and processes across GSC functions;
  • Interact with stakeholders to ensure understanding and ownership is achieved across all GSC initiatives;
  • Understand and drive adoption of GSC systems and processes; and
  • Lead a team of professional Cost Controllers responsible for: 
    • Ensuring consistent quality review of invoices at a fast pace;
    • Reviewing and uploading pricing files and contracts;
    • Ongoing Ariba data governance review for accuracy and consistency including, but not limited to, Commodity Codes and Cost Coding.

Preferred Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant Business / Technical discipline;
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or relevant Business / Technical discipline is preferred;
  • CPSM is preferred;
  • Advanced experience with SAP and Ariba S2P systems and processes;
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Supply Chain S2P processes;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Excel and analytical techniques;
  • In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain systems, processes, business procedures & practices; and
  • Upstream Oil & Gas experience specifically Supply Chain activities related to drilling, completions and / or production.
