Specific Responsibilities

 

The Organizational Development Advisor plays a critical role in enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee development at Apache. This position involves leading the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive learning strategies that drive organizational performance and align employee performance with organizational goals while providing rewarding career opportunities and professional growth and development for our employees. This position is designed for individuals who have extensive experience in Leaning and Development and are looking to further grow and expand their career in HR. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of HR principles, expertise in learning strategy, content development, instructional design, SuccessFactors, and vendor management. 

 

The Learning Advisor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess learning needs, create high-impact training programs, and ensure the successful execution of learning initiatives that support employee development and business objective.

 

Learning and Development strategy:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the organizations business goals
  • Conduct learning needs and assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for employee skill development
  • Develop long-term plans to build and maintain a culture of continuous learning across the organization

 

Event Management:

  • Oversee planning, execution, and evaluation of training events, seminars, workshops, and webinars.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, and participant communication to ensure smooth and successful learning events.
  • Ensure that all learning events are aligned with business needs and provide measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and manage external learning and development vendors, ensuring they deliver high-quality content and services within budget and timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure they are aligned with organizational learning objectives.

 

Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop and implement tools to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Analyze feedback and performance data to make recommendations for program enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate best practices into learning strategies.

 

Content Development & Instructional Design:

  • Lead the design and development of engaging, high quality learning content across multiple modalities (e-learning, virtual, in-person, blended).
  • Apply instructional design best practices to create effective learning experiences.
  • Develop training materials, courses, and learning paths that meet diverse employee needs and support their growth.

 

Learning Management Systems (LMS) / SuccessFactors (preferred)

  • Manage and optimize the use of the LMS to enhance user experience and ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
  • Ensure the LMS is regularly updated with new content and monitor performance metrics to track learning effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot issues and act as the point of contact for LMS-related queries.
  • Configure LMS to support learning and compliance strategy

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in HR, preferably in Talent Management, Organizational Development, or a related field, and preferably in a senior level analytical or advisory role. 
  • Experience with data analysis, generation and preparation of reports, and development of presentation materials. 
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably SuccessFactors. 
  • Oil & gas experience preferred. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other team members and stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Expert level knowledge of organizational development principles and practices. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to report and analyze data with attention to detail. 
  • Extensive expertise in HRIS systems (SuccessFactors preferred) and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
