Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Master Data Analyst is a part of Apache’s Global Supply Chain Systems and Master Data Governance Team within the Strategy and Compliance department. The successful candidate will be the data owner and subject matter expert for Supply Chain Master Data Management (MDM) in support of Supply Chain performance and compliance with controls throughout the Sourcing, Requisition to Pay, Materials Management, Logistics, and Contracts Management processes. This role will have the responsibility for creating and maintaining data quality standards, best practices for MDM, and ensuring compliance across Supply Chain processes (i.e. all edits and new entries follow set MDM standards and system design). This position requires an independent, self- motivated, and analytical individual who is a team player and can work with varying domestic and international stakeholders.

Position Description & Duties:

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Develop standards, processes, and reports to support Supply Chain MDM quality and compliance;
  • Identify, document, and implement MDM leading practices and strategies to proactively support the business needs in an ever-changing market and obtain internal stakeholder buy-in across all levels of the organization;
  • Lead cross-functional teams on project-based initiatives to develop and implement key elements of MDM;
  • Support Pcard program development, launch, and management;
  • Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the Supply Chain Master Data quality including reduction of duplicates and cleansing of master data to provide quality data across Supply Chain processes;
  • Interact with business units to ensure understanding and ownership is achieved across all MDM initiatives; and
  • Understand and drive adoption of Supply Chain processes and systems.

Preferred & Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant Business / Technical discipline;
  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or relevant Business / Technical discipline is preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Master Data Management or similarly related role;
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, business procedures & practices;
  • Strong knowledge of / experience with Project Management;
  • Proven track record developing standards and procedures for MDM including, but not limited to, Material Master Management, Vendor Master Management, and Commodity Code Management;
  • Advanced Excel and analytical knowledge and experience;
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba MDM practices and data structures; and
  • Upstream Oil & Gas experience specifically supply chain activities related to drilling, completions and / or production is preferred.
