Specific Responsibilities
The Gas Scheduling Senior for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Midstream and Marketing team at the company’s Houston office reporting to the Scheduling Manager.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Perform primary scheduling functions for all marketing transactions, including transportation on both inter- and intrastate pipelines
- Communicate nomination details with counterparties and Trading personnel
- Monitor commodity prices to assist marketing in monetizing imbalance positions
- Cross-train on all pipelines and provide no-notice backup coverage
- Understand cashout provisions on pipelines and in GPAs
- Monitor pipeline websites to identify operational issues as soon as possible, and communicate information with Trading personnel
- Gather and process production data from various sources to estimate available volumes for sale
- Update scheduling system
- Take Scheduling lead on special projects, M&A activity, and reporting, as assigned
- Some evening and weekend coverage is required
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing or other Business field required
- 6+ years of experience in relevant field, primarily in scheduling
- Highly motivated and organized; self-starter
- Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization
