Specific Responsibilities

The Global Supply Chain Strategy & Process Analyst I for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Global Supply Chain team at the company’s Houston, Texas office reporting to the GSC Strategy and Process Manager.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Main pillar of support for both US & NS for the Ariba ERP system. This includes onboarding, supplier master data, supplier training and troubleshooting, etc.
  • Works closely with IT, supply chain and Accounts payables to ensure all invoices are processed and paid
  • Onboarding Apache suppliers and providing ongoing maintenance to these suppliers within Ariba
  • Provide Ariba training to internal/external parties to ensure seamless processing of invoices to timely payment
  • Help to maintain the relationship between Apache and suppliers
  • Work closely with the Global Supply Chain Category Managers/Leads, Operations Managers, and Accounting to ensure suppliers are onboarded timely nd all pricing is maintained within Ariba for invoice processing
  • Complete special projects as needed in association with Source to Pay team
  • Promote the use and understanding of Source-to-Pay Systems and Processes throughout the Apache business and the wider Global Supply Chain
  • Work with Apache internal and external stakeholders to support the Source-to-Pay systems, including conducting internal trainings as needed
  • Other tasks, as required

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant Business / Technical discipline
  • Knowledge of ERP system such as SAP 
  • Experience with a commerce platform such as Ariba for exchange of Purchase Orders, Invoices, and other documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain systems, processes, business procedures, and practices
  • Source-to-Pay process knowledge
  • Finance or Accounting background
  • Training or speaking skills
  • Previous ERP/IT knowledge of Ariba desired
