Specific Responsibilities

 

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

 

Identify wellhead market needs for new APA development in alignment with the Asset Team

 

  • Identify and select 3rd party gathering and processing counterparties considering economics, market optionality and counterparty operating reliability.

  • Negotiate commercial terms with counterparties while working with APA Legal, and other internal stakeholders, considering the contractual needs for contracted services.

  • Monitor new well activity and development plans in coordination with the Asset Team.

  • Monitor third party infrastructure and capacity constraints to ensure flow assurance.

  • Support and negotiate request with respect to gas lift, field fuel, infrastructure requirements, and other initiatives outlined by the Asset Team and Operations. 

 

Manage ongoing contractual obligations.

 

 

  • Manage contractual acreage dedication obligations.

  • Ethane rejection elections

  • Evaluate gas and NGL take-in-kind rights to improve wellhead netbacks.

  • Manage wellhead and NGL take-in-kind imbalances.

 

Oversight of third-party service providers

 

  • Review audit settlements and initiate audit actions as necessary.

  • Review performance obligations.

  • Facilitate internal accounting requests, review prior period adjustments and aid in the resolution of any discrepancies. 

 

Serve as subject matter expert for gas and NGL issues within APA

 

  • Imbedded into Asset Team structure.

  • Provide guidance to other marketing functions, accounting, reservoir, planning and other groups.

  • Support business development during acquisition and divestiture activities. 

Qualifications & Experience

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing or other Business field required.

  • 7-10 years experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 2 years in a midstream marketing role in the Permian Basin area.

  • Ability to function in a high paced and at times stressful environment

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills

  • Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted decisions
