Specific Responsibilities

The Environmental Analyst, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s EH&S team at the company’s Houston, TX office reporting to the Director, Environment & Sustainability. 
 
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

•    Experience in calculating GHG emissions in accordance with EPA Subpart W, API compendium and UK ETS;
•    Knowledge of software systems and programming such as SQL;
•    Collaborate with stakeholders for global data improvement projects;
•    Develop high-quality presentation materials; 
•    Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for global environmental activities;
•    Track environmental performance against targets and metrics;
•    Facilitate improvements for global data repositories and long term accuracy;
•    Assess data and trends to facilitate decision making across global portfolio;
•    Knowledge of statistical methods, significance determination and real world applications;
•    Collaborate with sustainability team members to develop annual corporate sustainability report; 
•    Interface with internal and external auditors during quality assurance and document preparation activities, participate in effort to address deficiencies or recommendations identified by stakeholders; and
•    Collect and analyze corporate wide sustainability data (i.e. emissions, water use, safety metrics and social efforts).

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

•    Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Mathematics or Environmental Engineering. Other degrees will be considered
•    A Professional Geoscientist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE) or other relevant certification is a plus
•    Preferred 5 - 10 years or greater Environmental experience
•    Oil and gas industry experience
•    Strong knowledge of industry and government environmental standards and regulations
•    Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Solid problem solving skills driven towards results
•    Effective interpersonal and team communication skills
•    The ability to be self-motivated yet also a team player
•    Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
