Specific Responsibilities

The Accountant II, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Marketing Accounting team, reporting to the Marketing Accounting Manager.  This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

 

  • Perform marketing accounting functions related to Apache domestic oil and gas properties.

  • Actualizing oil, gas, and ngl volumes marketed by Apache in Endur for integration of pricing and deduct data to the revenue department.

  • Perform Settlements functions including invoicing, interface with counterparties, and ensure timely payment to Apache for gas, oil and ngl sales. 

  • Responsible for payment of transportation invoices, Accounts Receivable and other balance Sheet Reconciliations.

  • Will interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to Apache Corporation.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting; other field of study may be considered when combined with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours.

  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Oil & Gas Marketing Accounting experience a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience with Endur a plus.

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, management, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
