Specific Responsibilities
The General Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all general services operations, including fleet management, fleet maintenance, communications, residential contracts administration and maintenance, and facilities management. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, team development, and operational excellence while upholding the highest ethical standards and customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Foster a culture of customer service, cost consciousness, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the General Services team to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and develop the team to enhance their skills.
• Organize team workflows, set priorities, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency
• Partner with HR to enhance onboarding experience for expatriate employees.
Fleet Management & Maintenance
• Oversee all fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, registration, and disposal.
• Ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance of all vehicles.
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and optimize fleet utilization.
• Implement safety standards and compliance with local transportation regulations.
• Oversee management of fleet budgets, including maintenance, fuel, insurance, and depreciation costs.
Facilities & Residential Management
• Supervise maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of office premises and residential properties.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage space planning, office moves, and furniture procurement.
• Oversee mailroom, reception, and office supplies management.
• Review residential contracts and enforce residential rights, liaising with landlords and expatriate tenants to effectively resolve issues and ensure timely mitigation of all issues.
Contracts & Vendor Management
• Negotiate contracts and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) for all general services.
• Maintain strong relationships with service providers (cleaning, catering, transportation, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards.
Budget & Cost Control
• Prepare and manage budgets for general services, fleet, and facilities.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Track and report expenses, ensuring adherence to financial controls.
• Facilitate all rental costs for residential contracts to be within guidelines and maintain strict cost control of housing expenses.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Facilities Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in general services or facilities management, including fleet operations and contract management.
• At least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Business acumen and expertise with tools like Microsoft Office suite.
• Cross cultural fluency (Arabic & English) with international experience.
• Experience working for a multinational company with US or European headquarters preferred.
