Specific Responsibilities
The TOC Security Coordinator supports Apache Egypt’s 24/7 Tracking & Operations Center (TOC), which performs the full functions of a Security Operations Center (SOC). The role provides continuous monitoring, tracking, and incident coordination for all field teams in the Western Desert, as well as expatriate employees working and living in Cairo and when travelling outside the Cairo metropolitan area.
The coordinator acts as the initial point of contact for any security or travel-related issue, delivers first-response guidance, and ensures timely escalation to Security Management. The role directly supports and coordinates with the Mobile Response Team (MRT) to manage incidents and maintain situational awareness across Apache’s operational and residential footprint in Cairo.
Key Responsibilities
A. Monitoring & Journey Tracking
• Provide real-time tracking of all field movements in accordance with JM Matrix requirements from the four Western Desert locations.
• Monitor expatriates based in Cairo during any travel outside the city, ensuring location updates, communication checks, and awareness of local risks.
• Identify deviations, delays, or loss-of-contact events and initiate prompt corrective actions.
B. Security & Travel Incident Response
• Serve as the first point of contact for any security or travel issue, including road traffic collisions, concerns about the area travelled through, situational threat changes, or general security events.
• Deliver immediate guidance aligned with emergency procedures while notifying the Security Supervisor and Egypt Security Manager.
• Maintain communication with personnel until Security Management assumes control.
C. Coordination with Mobile Response Team (MRT)
• Deploy and direct MRT units to reported locations requiring support or verification.
• Maintain continuous communication with MRT teams, logging all updates.
• Report on MRT actions and outcomes to the Security Supervisor and Manager.
D. Information & Reporting
• Maintain accurate TOC logs, incident reports, and structured shift handovers.
• Prepare daily summaries covering field movements, expat travel monitoring, and any incidents.
• Protect the confidentiality and accuracy of all security-related information.
E. SOC-Standard Monitoring Duties
• Monitor GPS tracking systems, radio communications, CCTV, alarms, and remote surveillance feeds.
• Assess external risk indicators such as local security alerts, route conditions, weather, and OSINT findings.
• Conduct routine checks on TOC systems, communication devices, and backup equipment.
F. Compliance & Support
• Ensure all tracking and incident response activities align with Apache security protocols, journey management rules, and emergency procedures.
• Support periodic audits, scenario drills, and post-incident reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
• 1–3 years’ experience in security operations, control room/SOC roles, or fresh graduates with strong administrative and IT skills.
• Strong communication abilities and confidence in handling real-time monitoring tasks.
• Ability to work rotational shifts providing 24/7 coverage.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic – including written.
• Competence with basic digital tools, tracking platforms, and communication systems.
Desirable
• Experience in oil & gas, remote operations, emergency response, or high-security environments.
• Familiarity with incident reporting systems, GPS tracking tools, or OSINT monitoring.
