Operations Supervisor Production

Specific Responsibilities

This role will provide leadership in delivering the site performance contract through ensuring that the installation is operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with government and company regulations, policies, procedures and Apache core expectations.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

    Ensure plant is maintained in a safe, secure and efficient manner in accordance with government regulations, company procedures and plant specifications.
    Leadership of the Operations Team, including management of training, competence and development (including appropriate stand-in training)
    Area Authority and custodian of the site ISSOW system, ensuring all work activities and isolations are in line with government and company regulations, policies and procedures.
    Ensures the highest standard of housekeeping is maintained throughout the plant.
    Co-ordination of shift personnel requirements (e.g. leave, sickness cover & rota’s) and ensure optimum shift strength and numbers.
    Lead team to manage production up and costs down, by encouraging and implementing new ideas, learning’s and smarter practices in line with Aim Up initiative.
    Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions when required to determine the cause of plant trips or equipment failures.
    Conduct staff technician appraisals.
    Performance manage contract technician, vendor performance.
    Review & endorse maintenance work schedules / plans.
    Conduct daily worksite visits verifying work safety, quality and compliance with ISSOW.
    Promote safety by personal presence on site and conducting safety audits.
    Comply with the site environmental policies and procedures and take an active role in environmental improvements.
    Emergency response duties as defined in the site Emergency Response procedures.

Professional Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:


    Completion of OPITO Hydrocarbon Processing course or equivalent, or relevant experience and qualifications gained in the Oil & Gas Industry.
