Specific Responsibilities

Rotating Equipment Engineer for Apache Corporation will be based at the company’s Aberdeen office reporting to the Rotating Equipment Technical Authority.

The Rotating Equipment Engineer provides front line leadership, technical and maintenance support of the offshore assets critical rotating equipment.  The position is responsible for:
•    Planning, coordinating, and managing the execution of critical rotating equipment minor and major maintenance activities.  
•    Identification of equipment upgrade / modification requirements, preparing scopes of work and interfacing with projects department to provide engineering and execution assistance. 
•    Engineering, coordinating, and supporting the execution of minor modifications through the simple management of change process 
•    Critical rotating equipment condition monitoring, remote surveillance, and development of in-house surveillance capability  
•    Assurance of asset safety critical equipment against their performance standard requirements
•    Performance management of critical rotating equipment maintenance & technical support contracts to facilitate and promote efficient and effective service delivery.    

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

•    Provision of technical support that is in line with Apache and Industry standards 
•    Support safe and environmentally responsible rotating equipment operation that underpins Apache’s Licence to Operate 
•    Ensuring long term equipment maintenance and upgrade plans are fully developed and planning gate criteria is consistently met  
•    Asset focal point for key Rotating Equipment vendors, direct liaison, and interface to drive timely reporting, repairs, and product improvements.
•    Project manage rotating equipment major maintenance outages ensuring flawless execution against the project plan. 
•    Ensuring all machinery condition information is up to date, equipment health is understood and relevant remedial actions are scheduled accordingly.  
•    Responsible for relevant input into yearly budget compilation, and input into monthly management of budget forecasts.
•    Responsible for ensuring correct and suitable stock levels are in place for all critical rotating equipment.
•    Identify equipment upgrade projects, update Apache SORTER system and support MoC process.  
•    Conduct offshore site visits to enhance onshore/offshore collaboration, survey Rotating Equipment and identify opportunities for improvement. 
•    Witness equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) where applicable.
•    Delegate for Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer roles as instructed by the management.  

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
•    Rotating Equipment Experience 
•    Project Management, Planning, and Delivery Experience
•    Full understanding of standard practices and interfacing requirements with Project Planning, Development, Engineering, Procurement, and decommissioning activities
•    Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and planning skills.
