Specific Responsibilities
The Production Technician position within the platform core team is a key role within the offshore organisation. The Production Technician will be responsible for carrying out Role intent defined platform based workscopes and tasks as directed by the Operations Supervisor Production (OSP)
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Perform site duties in a safe, environmentally sound and efficient manner as directed by the Operations Supervisor Production (OSP) in accordance with government and Apache company regulations and procedures
- Properly document and accurately report operations activities in line with site procedures
- Comply with the site environmental policies and procedures and actively promote environmental improvements
- Promote improvement to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on site
- Operate the plant in line with operating procedures, ensuring continuous safe operation of all equipment by on-site monitoring of process and operating conditions
- Carry out routine operational tasks including testing, sampling and analysis
- Participate in Inspection and auditing of work sites to ensure compliance with ISSOW and SIRPS
- Carry out preparation, isolation and re-commissioning of plant and equipment in line with the site activity plan to maximize equipment uptime
- Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices and new technicians
- Perform designated role within the Emergency Response Team
- Completion of planned and corrective maintenance activities within personal skill set, as directed by the OSP, ensuring all relevant information is recorded in the Maintenance Management System
- Take ownership for progression of annual goals within A Game
- Drive continuous improvement within designated role by ensuring training and competency levels are maintained
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Completion of OPITO Hydrocarbon Processing course or equivalent, or relevant experience and qualifications gained in the oil and gas industry
