Network Administration Analyst Sr- Security

Specific Responsibilities

The Network Analyst Sr. Security, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s IT – Global Networking team at the company’s Houston, office reporting to the Network Administration Manager.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

• Actively participate in the planning, design, and implementation of network and security related projects 
• Provide technical and architectural support for securing Apache’s enterprise and field networks 
• Assist in developing the overall network security strategy for Apache globally 
• Act as an escalation resource for reported network performance or application performance issues 
• Manage and support the network monitoring and configuration management software 
• Utilize Apache's service portal to manage and create service requests, outages, and change requests 
• Identify, evaluate and recommend technologies using best practices/industry standards 
• Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies  
• Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance weekends 
• Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world 
• International and Domestic travel may be required 

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Extensive design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with large enterprises 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to clearly articulate complex issues 
• Project management and customer interfacing capabilities 
• Extensive experience with Palo Alto products including Panorama, PA NextGen Firewalls and Prisma 
• Extensive experience with Cisco FirePower, FMC, and CDO 
• Extensive experience with Solarwinds Network Management suite of applications 
• Extensive experience with Gigamon, Wireshark and packet level analysis and application performance root cause analysis 
• Experience with various SDWAN technologies 
• Experience using Splunk to help with troubleshooting 
• Experience designing and troubleshooting OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, DMVPNs, Spanning tree and network security 
• High level of experience with Cisco Nexus Data Center Architecture 
• High level of experience with Cisco ISE/NAC 
• High level of experience with Arista switches 
• Working knowledge of SNMP, Netflow, IP SLA and other management protocols 
• Experience working in Oil and Gas Industry – specifically with field support technicians 
• CCNP certification a plus
