Specific Responsibilities

Position – Production Foreman
Summary
Essential duties include the supervision and training of pumpers and roustabouts; schedule and coordinate daily activities of subordinates and contract personnel; monitor and review production; evaluate problem wells and implement new technology for production enhancement.
I. Review on major accountabilities
    A. Maximize production.
        1. Minimize downtime by reacting quickly and decisively.
        2. Recognize and generate workover prospects.
        3. Review production daily with pumpers.
        4. Develop solutions, not problems.
        5. Use Scout to trend data and anticipate situations.
    B. Minimize cost.
        1. Review LOS monthly with pumpers to identify cost centers for reduction and control.
        2. Identify and eliminate repetitive tasks and procedures that can be simplified or delegated.
        3. Work with pumpers to identify cost anomalies on a well-by-well basis.
        4. Review daily tickets and invoices to insure that Apache is receiving    full value for services rendered.
        5. Generate new ideas to reduce lifting costs. Review all phases of your operation to develop ideas.
    C. Effective supervision of pumpers and contractors.
        1. Contract and company pumpers.
            a. Communicate daily with pumpers.
            b. Listen to pumpers suggestions and evaluate each thoroughly.
            c. Use oral and written instructions effectively.
            d. Provide a motivational atmosphere for pumpers; earn their respect through your positive actions.
            e. Evaluate pumpers’ performance; recognize training needs and recommend training programs.
            f. Assist pumpers with data trending and analysis.
        2. Be familiar with Apache Supervisor’s Safety and Health Compliance and State Environmental Compliance Manuals and ensure that these policies are followed on each job.
        3. Review and evaluate each pumper’s job performance as needed.
    D. Technical competence.
        1. Become familiar with the technical factors involved in oil and gas production, including:
            a. Sucker rod design principles.
            b. ESP and PC pump design and application.
            c. Plunger lift design principles.
            d. Application of oil field chemicals.
             e. Fluid measurement.
            f. Petroleum reservoir management.
            g. Proper operation and maintenance of production equipment.
            h. Subsurface equipment design and application.
        2. Be aware of new technology and developments.
 

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: 3 to 5 years related experience.
